Victoria Hinshaw!

Victoria Hinshaw wrote horse stories as a pre-teen and romantic fiction ever since. When she isn’t pounding away on her laptop in Milwaukee, WI, or Naples, FL, you might find her attacking a towering TBR pile, coping with three teen-age grandsons, or visiting England.

Victoria has published more than a dozen novels and novellas with Kensington’s Zebra imprint and Simon & Shuster’s Pocket Books, as well as in large print versions. Now, most are available as e-books; complete information is found on her website and her Amazon page.

Victoria blogs on England, its culture, literature, and history on Number One London, with Kristine Hughes Patrone and Louisa Cornell.

Cover image for LEAST LIKELY LOVERS: A couple in Regency dress embrace lightly in a colorful garden that fades to foggy mist in the background. The blonde heroine wears a simple blue gown with gathered sleeve and her hair up in a loose bun as she gazes adoringly at the hero who is dressed in black boots, a black tailcoat, a light brown brocade waistcoat and tan trousers. His white cravat contrasts sharply with his dark hair which is swept back and reaches down past his collar.

What do you love best/interests you most about the Regency Era?

Victoria says, “I love absolutely everything about England from Tudors through Victorians, with special attention to the Regency: history, distinctive persons, art and architecture, social mores, and literature. I am an enthusiastic member of the Jane Austen Society of North America nd often speak at annual meetings and regional conferences. Most years (sadly, not 2020) I spend at least a few weeks in England where I particularly love to visit stately homes and all kinds of museums, from picket-size to the British Museum in Bloomsbury.”

What do you like the most about The Beau Monde? How long have you been a member?

Victoria says, “I was present at the creation, or darn close to it, when we met in New York in 1994. I attended the first Beau Monde Conference in Dallas two years later and chaired the Chicago TBM meeting in 1999, The Regency Mill. I love all the generous members who share information and support each other. And I love the costumes people show off at our conferences. Our web loops and resources such as the Regency Reader and Regency Realm are invaluable.”
