12 Books Your Regency Heroine Should Read
January 3, 2026 – December 31, 2026
This course will spread out over the course of the year. Each month introduces a new book that you may not have heard of but that your heroine might well have read! We’ll be looking at some famed reads and some that are less well-known today in order to explore what women were writing and reading in the Georgian and Regency Periods.
An Overview of World Events 1790-1830 and Their Impacts on the Regency
September 1, 2026 – September 28, 2026
This course will look at major world events in the extended regency period, and the ways in which those events affected people in Regency England, and the greater British Empire.
It will be in four basic sections: Events in England, Events in the British Empire worldwide outside England itself, Events in the ‘rest of the world’, and The impact of those events, both short and long term.
The course will finish with some discussion about how all of that might be reflected in your stories, and ways that it might challenge your ideas.
