Regency Research – Wandering Off the Beaten Path

Researching the Regency period has come a long way from the days of dragging armloads of books home from the library and wrestling with microfilm and inter-library loans. Now, information is online everywhere. But much of this is the same material – fashion, manners, clubs and language. Where can you look to find the weird, obscure and wonderful details that you can use for plots, characterization and period details for your stories? We will explore some of the lesser-known sites and sources for doing research, focusing on places to look and then sampling some of the interesting finds. Both primary and secondary sources will be examined.
