Self-Publish Your Regency Story THIS Year
WITH Melissa AddeyRegistration ends January 21, 2025!
Class Description
If you’re curious about self-publishing but are not sure where to start, this is the course for you. It will also be valuable to those who traditionally publish as very successful authors now frequently mix and match publishing routes and indie (self-published) authors are often very good at marketing, so this course will give you with important questions you can ask of your publisher, so you can continue to traditionally publish but with an ‘indie mindset’.
Course Dates: Saturday January 11th, 18th and 25th, 2025 (Format is 1hr session + 1hr Q&A time on each date) with a final Q&A only session on February 1st, 2025. ALL Zoom sessions will begin at 2pm ET/7pm GMT and the Zoom links will be posted in the classroom forum.
In session one, we’ll talk about why you might want to choose self-publishing (for starters, did you know self-published authors earn more than those traditionally published?) and explain the basics of the process.
In session two, it’s all about the prep: from making sure your manuscript is the best it can be to getting the perfect cover and starting to lay your marketing foundations.
The third session is about getting the book published and moving into marketing mode.
Our fourth and final session will be Q&A only so that you can consider the material shared and come along with any and all questions you need resolving.
Melissa will share a wealth of resources, contacts and practical personal experience. She will cover DIY options as well as how to commission professionals to work with. We’ll talk about important commercial decisions authors need to take and where to find additional advice for every stage. We will be covering ten marketing foundations you can be taking even while you finish your manuscript, so you can hit the ground running when you publish.
You will leave inspired and with a clear set of steps to take to self-publish. Specific contacts will be provided (e.g. book cover designers, formatters and editors).
