WITH Emily E K MurdochRegistration ends February 11, 2025!
Class Description
Sex!
Now that we have your attention, let’s talk about the challenge of writing intimacy in the Regency era without cringing – either you cringing, or your readers.
It’s not easy to do, but for those of us who want to include love scenes and sex scenes in your books, then it’s time to start working on your sexy craft, and get your lovemaking to its potential climax.
If you want to:
- Understand the differences between sweet, steamy, and erotic
- Learn the history of sex in the Regency era, and what is (and isn’t) accurate
- Practice pushing past your discomfort
- Explore how sex and love scenes can and should move your plot forward and expand your characterization
- Push yourself with exercises that get feedback from a USAT author…
…this is the course for you.
Spend a whole month really working on this part of your craft in this course which will include templates, homeworks, and challenges for you to consider in your writing practice as you learn how to write sex scenes that will get your readers hot under the collar without stressing you out. This course is designed to be as accessible and intersectional as possible.
